Ty Newydd Chapel was built in 1765 and rebuilt in 1825, in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type. The chapel was extended in 1963.

The original Hermon Welsh Calvinistic Chapel was built in 1827. In 1906 this was demolished and replaced by the present structure, built in the Art-Nouveau style with a gable entry plan.
